Community Event - Festival of Fine Arts

Saturday and Sunday, May 31 and June 1

Downtown Deerfield

Now a tradition in Deerfield and the north shore, the annual Deerfield Festival of Fine Arts will be held on May 31 and June 1 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on the Farmers Market lot in Downtown Deerfield (see map). Sponsored by the Deerfield Fine Arts Commission, this year's festival will showcase the work of well over 100 fine artists and craftspeople from around the country as well as locally.

All art media will be represented: acrylic, ceramics, jewelry, watercolor, fiber, wood, sculpture, oil, metal, photography, mixed media, printmaking and glass. "We pride ourselves in attracting the best quality and most affordable artists", states Deb Netter of D & W Events, Inc., the festival's promoter.

DON'T MISS! The Fine Arts Commission is also sponsoring a Preview Party on May 30th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Village Hall, 850 Waukegan Road. This special event will allow not only a preview of the art, but a first hand look at the new Deerfield Village Hall, along with an up-close view of the Village's recently installed (October 2007) sculpture commissioned for the Village's centennial celebration in 2003. Light refreshments will be served.
