Deerfield Bike Routes

If you've noticed new diamond-shaped colored signs around the Village, they are there for a reason! As part of the Comprehensive Plan, approved in 2004, the Village developed a color-coded bike route system. Signs along the same route remain the same color, even though some signs may be somewhat different in size. The larger signs (as pictured below) indicate the beginning, end, and major changes in direction of routes, while the smaller plain signs act as a continual reminder of the route you are on.

There are a total of six bike routes and all are intended to connect with other routes in our surrounding communities. To view the map of the bike routes, click here.

Below are samples of the signs and the route that corresponds to them.

Blue Route
Southern East/West Route: ~4.6 miles

Green Route
East/West Route - South Side of Deerfield Road: ~1.5 miles

Light Green Route
East/West Route - North Side of Deerfield Road: ~1.5 miles

Magenta Route
East to North Route: ~3 miles

Pink Route
North/South Route: ~2.4 miles

Purple Route
West to North Route: ~2.5 miles
