Lake County Major Crimes Task Force:
One
officer is assigned to a multi-jurisdictional group of
officers who work on major crime scenes such as murders,
officer involved shootings and any other crimes
participating agencies do not have the resources to
investigate. The
unit is staffed by the Lake County Sheriffs Department and
contributing communities.

Lake County Metropolitan Enforcement Group:
 One
officer is assigned to a multi jurisdictional group of
officers who work undercover to combat drugs and gangs.
This unit is staffed with police officers from the
State Police and contributing communities and provides an
effective means of combating narcotics and other drug
related activity in the North shore area.
